How to Identify the Production Date on Car Glass?
1 Answers
There is a code located at the bottom left or right corner of the car window glass. The last or second-to-last row contains a number and several small black dots, which indicate the production date of the glass. Here's how to interpret the production date: 1. First, the number represents the production year of the glass, specifically the last digit of the year. The production dates of the glass and the vehicle will not differ by more than 10 years. 2. The small black dots indicate the production month. If you observe the glass of other vehicles carefully, you will notice that some have the black dots before the number, while others have them after the number. If the black dots are before the number, subtract the number of dots from 7; if they are after the number, add the number of dots to 13. The result will give you the production month of the glass.
