When the ownership of a registered motor vehicle is transferred, and the residences of both the original and current owners are within the jurisdiction of the same vehicle management office, the current owner must apply for transfer registration at the municipal vehicle management office within thirty days from the date of ownership transfer. They should fill out the "Motor Vehicle Transfer Registration Application Form" and submit the following documents, along with presenting the vehicle for inspection (if the vehicle has exceeded the annual inspection cycle, the annual inspection procedures must be completed first). Identity proofs of the current owner and the handling agent; "Motor Vehicle Registration Certificate"; "Motor Vehicle License"; (4) For imported motor vehicles under customs supervision, the "Release Certificate of Supervised Vehicles of the People's Republic of China" issued by customs is also required; second-hand vehicle transaction invoice; for registered motor vehicles whose ownership transfer arises from economic compensation, property division, inheritance, etc., the legally effective "Judgment", "Ruling", "Mediation Agreement" issued by the People's Court, and the corresponding "Notice of Assistance in Execution" must be provided.
