How to Handle Driving in Heavy Fog?
1 Answers
When encountering heavy fog while driving, you should choose a safe location to park your vehicle. In conditions of dense fog or extremely low visibility, it may become impossible to drive normally. For safety reasons, you should find a secure spot to stop and wait until the fog dissipates before continuing your journey. If the fog is light, vehicles should stay to the right side of the road and reduce speed while turning on the width-indicator lights, rear position lights, front and rear fog lights, as well as the hazard warning lights (also known as emergency flashers). When visibility drops below 50 meters, it is advisable to find a safe place to park immediately, but avoid staying inside the vehicle. Always drive at reduced speeds and exercise extreme caution when operating a vehicle in foggy conditions.
