No annual inspection is required. According to the latest regulations from the Ministry of Public Security, drivers holding licenses for large buses, trucks, urban buses, tow trucks, or medium-sized buses and trucks (i.e., A1, A2, A3, B1, B2 licenses) do not need to undergo annual inspection for the current scoring cycle if they have no demerit points recorded. However, if there are demerit points on the license, the driver must undergo the annual inspection. The following are situations that require annual inspection: 1. Situation One: Motor vehicle drivers must, in accordance with laws and administrative regulations, periodically undergo inspection at the traffic management department of the public security authority. When drivers renew their motor vehicle driving licenses as stipulated in Articles 48 and 49 of these regulations, they must undergo inspection by the traffic management department of the public security authority. 2. Situation Two: Drivers holding licenses for large buses, tow trucks, urban buses, medium-sized buses, or large trucks must undergo inspection at the traffic management department of the public security authority within 30 days after the end of each scoring cycle. However, if there are no demerit points recorded during a scoring cycle, the inspection for that cycle is exempted. 3. Situation Three: Drivers holding licenses for vehicle types not specified in the third paragraph of this article, who are involved in a traffic accident resulting in death and bear equal or greater responsibility without having their motor vehicle driving license revoked, must undergo inspection at the traffic management department of the public security authority within 30 days after the end of the current scoring cycle.
