How to Handle an A2 Driver's License with 12 Points Deducted?
1 Answers
If a motor vehicle driver accumulates 12 points in a single scoring cycle, the traffic management department of the public security authority shall confiscate their motor vehicle driver's license. The following are the relevant details: 1. The motor vehicle driver must, within 15 days, attend a seven-day course on road traffic safety laws, regulations, and related knowledge at the traffic management department of the public security authority where the driver's license was issued or where the violation occurred. After completing the course, the vehicle management office shall conduct an examination on road traffic safety laws, regulations, and related knowledge within 20 days. 2. If the driver passes the examination, the points will be cleared, and the motor vehicle driver's license will be returned. If the driver fails the examination, they must continue attending the course and retake the exam. If the driver refuses to attend the course or take the exam, the traffic management department of the public security authority will announce the suspension of their motor vehicle driver's license. 3. If a driver accumulates 12 points in a single scoring cycle and fails to apply for a downgrade and license replacement within the specified time, the vehicle management office shall announce the invalidation of the driving qualification for the permitted vehicle type. The A2 driver's license will be downgraded to a B1B2 license. Note: An A2 driver's license will be downgraded not only if 12 points are deducted at once but also if 12 points are accumulated within a single scoring cycle.
