How to Handle a Traffic Accident?

After a traffic accident occurs, promptly call the 122 emergency number to report the incident, and the case will be filed according to the jurisdictional area. Based on the facts of the traffic accident, the public security traffic management department will determine the liability of the parties involved. The public security traffic management department shall, in accordance with relevant regulations, impose penalties on the responsible party, including warnings, fines, suspension or revocation of the driver's license, or detention.
I've been driving for over 20 years and have been involved in two accidents. The top priority is ensuring everyone's safety - immediately stop the vehicle, turn on the hazard lights, and move to a safe location without obstructing traffic. If anyone is injured, call 120 immediately for medical assistance. Then report the accident to the police by calling 110 or 122, clearly stating the location, time, and vehicle details while waiting for officers to arrive. Next, exchange information: the other party's license plate number, driver's license, and contact details, while taking photos of vehicle damage and the full accident scene as evidence to prevent disputes. Avoid arguments and remain calm throughout the process. After the incident, contact your insurance company to provide documentation and file a claim. I'm sharing this experience to remind everyone to maintain safe following distances while driving and keep an emergency kit in your vehicle.
