How to Obtain an International Driver's License in China

Chinese citizens applying for an international driver's license need to submit the following documents to the International Driving Permit issuing authority: 1. "Motor Vehicle Driver's License Application Form." 2. The applicant's identity proof (original and photocopy). If the documents are not in Chinese, a Chinese translation (original and photocopy) must also be provided. 3. "Motor Vehicle Driver's Physical Condition Certificate" issued by a county-level or higher medical institution or a military medical institution at the regiment level or above. Applicants who are staff members of foreign embassies, consulates, or international organizations in China are exempt from the "Physical Condition Certificate" review. 4. The applicant's current motor vehicle driver's license (must be valid). This should be a foreign driver's license, not an international driver's license. If the license is not in Chinese, a Chinese translation (original and photocopy) must be provided. 5. Six 1-inch color front-facing headshots of the driver without a hat and with a white background.

How to Insulate a Panoramic Sunroof?

Methods for insulating a panoramic sunroof: Install an opaque beige retractable shade or add several layers of film on top of the sunroof to block heat and sunlight. However, it is generally not recommended to apply film to car sunroofs because the glass usually already has UV protection and heat insulation functions. Adding additional film may lead to a certain degree of resource waste. Below are some functions of car sunroofs: 1. Rapid Cooling: Open the windows and sunroof while driving to quickly draw out the stuffy air. 2. Defogging: In seasons with large temperature differences, opening the sunroof for a few minutes can quickly eliminate fog on the windshield. 3. Rapid Air Exchange: Opening the sunroof while driving can quickly increase the speed of air circulation inside the car.

Do I need to use turn signals when reversing into a parking space?

Reversing into a parking space does not require the use of turn signals. In Subject 2 of the driving test, you only need to use the left turn signal when starting on an uphill slope and when performing parallel parking into a garage. For parallel parking, use the left turn signal when exiting the parking space. For uphill starts, use the left turn signal before starting the car. No turn signals are needed for S-curves, right-angle turns, or reversing into a parking space. Tips for reversing into a parking space: 1. Control the driving speed: Use first gear or reverse gear at idle speed throughout the process. Maintain the same speed as when starting. 2. Control the timing of steering: During the reversing process, observe carefully, grasp the key points of steering, and steer at the right time. 3. Control the driving path: During the test, the car's driving path mainly depends on the speed of steering wheel rotation and driving speed. When reversing, aim for the boundary line and adjust the direction in time to keep the car straight when entering the parking space.

What is the standard placement for temporary license plates?

For passenger vehicles that have not yet been registered (including sedans, buses, minivans, SUVs, passenger cars, etc.), if they need to be driven temporarily on the road, they must carry two temporary license plates, which must be affixed in designated positions: one should be placed on the lower left or right corner of the front windshield inside the vehicle, with the specific position determined by ensuring it does not obstruct the driver's view; the other should be affixed to the lower left corner of the rear windshield inside the vehicle. Here are more detailed regulations: 1. Vehicle license plates should be hung at designated positions on the front and rear of the vehicle, kept clear and intact. Heavy and medium-duty trucks and their trailers, as well as tractors and their trailers, should have enlarged license plate numbers painted on the rear of the body or cargo compartment, with the characters upright and clearly visible. 2. The vehicle inspection compliance label and insurance label should be affixed to the upper right corner of the front windshield. 3. Any painting, affixing of logos, or advertisements on the vehicle body should not affect safe driving.

What does the MIL light indicate?

MIL stands for Malfunction-Indicator-Lamp, indicating a fault in the engine system. The MIL light illuminates due to excessive carbon deposits inside the engine, a malfunctioning oxygen sensor causing an imbalance in the air-fuel mixture, or poor fuel quality leading to incomplete combustion, among other issues that trigger the engine warning light. Below is an introduction to the malfunction indicator lamp: 1. The malfunction indicator lamp is located on the instrument panel, typically in red (refer to the vehicle's manual for specifics). 2. During the power-on self-test, the malfunction indicator lamp stays lit for 2 seconds before turning off. It lights up when a fault is detected in the fuel injection system: it remains steadily lit for general faults and flashes for severe faults. The lamp automatically turns off once the fault is resolved.
