How to Fold Down the Rear Seats of a Bora?

There is a pull strap on each side above the rear seats. Simply pull both straps simultaneously with force to fold down the seats. Below is the method for removing the seats of a Volkswagen Bora: 1. Front Seat Removal: There are four screws in total for the front seats. Move the seat to the frontmost position to see two screws at the rear of the slide rails. Remove these screws, then move the seat to the rearmost position and remove the two screws at the front of the slide rails to take out the seat. If the seat has heating or electric adjustment, remember to disconnect the wiring. 2. Rear Seat: At the frontmost part of the rear seats, there is a clip on each side. Lift the left side of the seat forcefully, then lift the right side forcefully. Now, the seat should be movable but still not completely detached. Pull the seat forward to remove it. 3. Rear Seat Backrest: Remove the two headrests from the rear seat backrest. You will see four round holes where the headrests were fixed. Remove all of them, then lift the backrest forcefully upward to complete the process.
When I first started driving my Bora, I also looked into this issue. It's actually quite simple. First, sit in the back seat and look for small round levers near the shoulder area of the backrest—there's one on each side. Lift one of them firmly upward, and you'll hear a click, which means the backrest can now be folded forward. If you need even more space, just fold down both sides. Just remember to remove any items from the seat before folding it down—don’t let things like phones or wallets get stuck in the gaps. After folding, the trunk space becomes much larger. Last time, I helped a friend move by fitting a whole set of audio equipment in there. When putting the backrest back, make sure to push it firmly into place until you hear the locking sound to ensure it’s secure.
