How to Fold Down the Rear Seats in the Excelle?

Fully lower the rear seat headrests. Lift up the rear seat armrest and fold it if necessary. Insert the key into the slot of the small buckle for the rear seat safety belt. Open the trunk and pull up the seat back. Fold the seat back forward, lift it up, push it backward, and lock it into place.
I've been driving my Excelle for several years and have to fold down the rear seats every time I load bulky items. If you lift the trunk mat, you'll see two round pull rings behind the seats, one on each side. Grab the pull ring and give it a firm tug while simultaneously pushing the seatback forward - you'll hear a click as it folds down. Make sure to clear any clutter from the rear seats first, especially avoiding drink bottles on the seat cushions - last time I spilled sugary water all over the car. After folding, it's best to use a luggage net to secure items, otherwise packages might slide forward during sudden braking. If the pull ring won't budge, check for small objects stuck under the seat - forcing it might damage the plastic components.
I remember spending hours searching online when I first got my car, only to find out the design of the Excelle is actually quite simple. Start by looking down from the rear door area - you'll spot two silver metal buckles where the seat meets the door. Press the button in the middle of the metal buckle with your thumb while lifting it upward, then use your other hand to push the seat forward. Remember to keep the windows open for ventilation during this process, otherwise the cabin gets stuffy and uncomfortable. If there's a child seat installed in the rear, remove it first. Last time I tried without removing it first, I nearly broke the buckle. Both rear seats can be folded down separately, which comes in handy when transporting large potted plants.
