How to Fold Down the Rear Seats in a BMW 1 Series?

Simply press the lumbar support adjustment button to raise or lower the lumbar bulge of the seat. Open the trunk. Locate the rear seat folding switches on both sides of the trunk, which resemble door release switches. Pull the switches down.
I often take my BMW 1 Series for outings, and folding down the rear seats is super easy. There's a small plastic pull handle near the top of the seat close to the shoulders, usually hidden under the seat cover. Once you find it, give it a firm pull or lift upwards, and the seat back will automatically fold forward. Remember to clear the trunk before operating to prevent items from falling and damaging the seat upholstery. After folding, the space increases by more than double, making it perfect for carrying camping gear or large luggage, saving you the hassle of renting a van. Be sure to return the handle to its original position after use to prevent any rattling noises if the latch isn't securely fastened during bumpy rides. If your model has a split 60:40 design, you can fold down either side by pulling the corresponding handle, offering great flexibility. You'll get the hang of it after a few tries.
