How to flatten the rear seats of a Mercedes-Benz GLC?

Open the car door and locate the release handle on the backrest, which is positioned at the shoulder area of the seat. Each rear seat position has its own release handle, allowing you to easily choose which seat to fold down. When flattening the seat, make sure to push it forward. You will then notice that the space has become sufficiently large. Different models may have different methods. Another approach is to pull the two straps located on the rear seats, which will release and fold the seat down. Under the rear trunk seats, there are black straps. Pull them backward, then lift the seat upward and hook it onto the headrest of the front seats. The straps can be adjusted for tightness. If you are adjusting the rear seats for the first time, you can refer to the car's manual for accurate operation steps related to this process.
As an owner who's driven this car for two to three years, I'm very familiar with folding down the rear seats. First, you need to open the rear door. There are nylon pull loops on both sides of the seats near the roof. Pull them while using your knee to push the seatback forward. The first time you do it might require some effort, especially when the latches underneath the seats are tight. If the pull loops don't respond, it might be because the rear seatbelt buckles are pressing down—you'll need to unbuckle them first. Once the seats are folded down, they form a nearly two-meter-long platform with the trunk. I once used it to transport a 1.8-meter potted plant when moving. However, a heads-up: the seat latches might occasionally not reset properly, so remember to give them a couple of upward taps to ensure they're securely locked before closing the tailgate.
