How to flatten the rear seat cushion of the Trumpchi GS4?

There is a release handle in the middle of the back of the Trumpchi GS4's seatback. Pull the handle outward to flatten the rear seat. After folding down the rear seats of the GAC Trumpchi GS4, the available space is significantly expanded.
I've been driving the Trumpchi GS4 for a while, and flattening the rear seat cushions is quite practical—it instantly creates much more space. To do this, first locate the lever on the side of the seat. Usually, there's a small button or handle under the rear seatback. You need to push it with your hand or gently pull it out, then tilt the seat backward. The seat cushions are split, so the left and right sides can be flattened independently, allowing for partial flattening if needed. Move slowly during the process to avoid jamming or sudden springing, which could cause injury. After flattening, check if it's even, as uneven surfaces might create noise while driving. I often do this in daily life—like loading large boxes when moving or laying out a mat for camping and sleeping on weekends—it's very convenient. For safety, always ensure the vehicle is parked and turned off before attempting this; never try it while driving. Trumpchi's design is quite user-friendly, but I recommend checking the user manual first, as there might be slight differences between model years.
