How to Flatten Car Seats?

Open the car door and locate the rear seat latches in the back row, usually positioned at the shoulder area of the seats. Each rear seat position has a release handle. After finding the release handle, use the latch to adjust the seat folding ratio. You can fully recline the seat or fold it halfway, depending on your needs. Fold the seat forward to flatten it, ensuring the movement is directed forward. Under the headrests on both sides of the rear seats, there are buttons. Press these buttons and push forward to achieve maximum recline. If the seatback is foldable, open the trunk and hook the front seat headrests, then adjust to the maximum angle.
My own car is an SUV, and converting it to a flat seat is super simple, basically requiring no major modifications. Most cars have a small lever or button in the back row—just give it a gentle pull or press, and the backrest can be folded down into a flat surface. I often do this during long trips, lying down for a quick nap—it's really comfortable. However, don’t force it, as you might damage the brackets. Differences between car models can be significant: SUVs lie flat in one go, while sedans might require folding the rear seats and coordinating with trunk space. Safety first—make sure your head doesn’t hit the roof when the seat is flat, and always restore the seat before driving to maintain visibility and seatbelt functionality. Converting to a flat seat is great for everyday convenience, but don’t overdo it.
