How to Fix the Random Jumping Issue with CX-4's Central Control Screen?

Disassemble the air conditioning vents, open the glove compartment on the passenger side, and gently pull out the touch ribbon cable by hand from the right side; unplug the hazard light connector. Use a soft cloth to protect the air conditioning panel from scratches; remove the main unit and screen by unscrewing 6 screws; detach the screen and plastic bracket by removing 4 screws. Open from the top of the screen, use a thin metal piece to sequentially release the clips from one end; disconnect the display ribbon cable, then reassemble in the reverse order.
I've also encountered the issue of the infotainment screen acting erratically while driving my CX4 recently. It feels like the screen randomly switches between menus or registers phantom touches, which is quite annoying. Generally speaking, this could be caused by software lag or system bugs. The simplest solution is to try restarting the entire infotainment system by long-pressing the power button - this often resolves the issue. If that doesn't work, check for available system updates in the settings menu, as many minor bugs get fixed through updates. Additionally, extreme temperatures (either too hot or too cold) can affect touch sensitivity. Parking in direct sunlight during summer can easily cause thermal-related screen malfunctions, so try moving to a shaded area or turning on the AC to cool it down. If the problem persists, it's best to visit a dealership and have technicians run diagnostic tests. As preventive measures, avoid randomly tapping the screen with your fingers, and applying an anti-blue light screen protector can help reduce accidental touches.
