How to Fix the Blue Screen Issue with BYD Yuan's Rearview Camera?

Display settings issue. There is usually a camera switch control in the display settings. Simply adjust the switch to "ON". Camera malfunction. Inspect and replace the camera if necessary. This is the most common issue. Since the wiring harness for the rearview camera runs from the dashboard all the way to the rear trunk, the long wiring path makes it likely that there is a poor connection in one of the harnesses or plugs. A thorough inspection is required.
A blue screen on the reverse camera is mostly caused by loose wiring connections. Last time I had this issue after driving on a bumpy road, I opened the trunk cover, found the camera connector, unplugged it and plugged it back in tightly, and it worked immediately. It could also be due to a glitch in the car's system—holding down the steering wheel mute button for 10 seconds forces a reboot of the infotainment system. In winter, fogging on the camera is common, but it usually clears up after half an hour of running the heater. Avoid piling too many items in the trunk, as closing the lid can easily crush the wiring. During my last visit to the dealership for maintenance, the technician mentioned they handle two or three similar cases daily, usually resolved within half an hour. Also, remember to check the wiring harness near the license plate lights—some cars experience wire damage here after a rear-end collision.
