Check the wiring from the fuel level sensor to the ECU. If there is an open circuit or poor connection in the wiring, it can cause the fuel gauge not to display or display inaccurately. The wiring needs to be repaired. Poor contact or severe wear of the sliding resistor in the fuel position sensor can output incorrect signals, leading to an inaccurate fuel gauge. Replacing the fuel level sensor can resolve this issue. Abnormalities in the instrument circuit or aging of electrical components with poor connections can also cause the fuel gauge to indicate inaccurately. If the instrument is determined to be faulty, the only solution is to replace the instrument. The fuel level sensor is fixed on the fuel pump bracket. If the fuel gauge is inaccurate due to tank deformation or bracket abnormalities, this type of fault can only be checked by removing the fuel pump. If there is poor connection, open circuit, or short circuit inside the engine control module, it may fail to transmit the fuel level sensor signal to the instrument, resulting in the fuel gauge not displaying the fuel level.
