How to Fix a Non-Returning Car Button?

Use a hex screwdriver to unscrew the bolts and pull outward firmly to remove the entire window button assembly. Disconnect one black and one white wiring harness, take photos of the black and white wires, and note their positions to avoid incorrect reconnection. Use a small screwdriver or tweezers to pry up the flattened copper piece on the button circuit board, lifting it slightly higher; then reinstall it as it was. If the window button still does not return after trying the above methods, it is recommended that the owner take the car to a professional repair shop for inspection and repair.
Just dealt with this issue a few days ago, actually quite common. First check if something is stuck—use a fine needle or toothpick to gently scrape along the edges of the button gap. It’s often crumbs or dust trapped inside. If that doesn’t work, prepare a small screwdriver to remove the panel and take out the button. Some car buttons have a small spring underneath that may deform or rust over time, making it hard to bounce back. I’ve used sewing machine oil on the spring and tweaked it with tweezers—usually fixes the problem. If the plastic clips inside the button are broken, you can easily find replacement buttons for your car model on Taobao for just a few dozen yuan. Installing it yourself isn’t hard and saves a lot compared to going to a 4S shop. Just be careful not to force the panel when removing it—many clips are prone to breaking. Avoid eating crumbly food in the car to keep the buttons lasting longer.
