How to Fix a Car Trunk That Won't Open?

First, remove the interior trim panel of the trunk, which is secured by clips. Simply release the clips to remove it. Next, dismantle the trunk door switch trim panel. Start by removing the screws and clips on the back metal panel of the trunk. Then proceed to remove the middle two screws, followed by the right side. Once the fastening method of the trunk door switch trim panel is undone, you may notice that the switch core has become detached. This prevents the switch handle from opening the trunk. Reinstall and secure the switch core to resolve the issue. Additionally, you can fold down the rear seats, enter the trunk, and manually open the interior trim panel. Then, pull the unlocking lever by hand to unlock the trunk manually.
