How to fix a broken door handle?

Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the lock cylinder decorative cover. Remove the rubber gasket, open the car door, pry off the rubber gasket, and use a spline wrench to remove the door handle lock block screws. Remove the small round cover, then use a small flathead screwdriver to pry along the edge gap between the lock block and the door panel, gradually disassembling the door handle lock block. Hold the door handle with your left hand, then pull backward to separate the door handle from the door panel. Disconnect the wiring harness connector and remove the door handle. Replace with a new door handle, then reassemble the components in reverse order.
I've encountered broken door handles quite often, especially when driving used cars. Generally speaking, door handles can be divided into exterior and interior handles. Replacing an exterior handle that's broken is usually not difficult to do yourself. Prepare a screwdriver, pry bar, and order the replacement part online. First, pry off the door panel to locate and remove the mounting screws. When installing the new handle, make sure it's properly aligned with the locking mechanism before securing it. Test the operation to ensure smooth movement without sticking. Last time I replaced one, it cost me fifty yuan and took half an hour - both economical and convenient. However, if the car model is complex with electric functions or you're unfamiliar with interior panel removal, you might damage plastic clips, so it's best not to force it. Delaying repairs may eventually lead to the door not opening, affecting safety. It's advisable to fix it early to prevent aging cracks - replacing it early avoids major repairs later.
