Finding the clutch half-engagement state can be divided into three steps: 1. The engine sound becomes quieter, and the tachometer shows a noticeable drop in RPM; 2. The vehicle shakes slightly and has a tendency to move forward; 3. The clutch pedal gives a slight pushback feeling. At this point, it's important to hold steady or slowly release the clutch to provide some buffer for the vehicle, ensuring a smooth start. Clutch half-engagement refers to the unstable connection state of the clutch, where the driver presses the clutch pedal, gradually reducing the pressure on the clutch pressure plate, causing the driving and driven discs to be in a state of simultaneous rotation and slipping. During the field driving test, drivers who are not yet proficient often use half-engagement to reduce speed, thereby extending the operation time to complete the required actions.
