How to Extract Oil from the Fuel Tank?
1 Answers
It is not possible to siphon oil directly from a car's fuel tank because the tank opening is U-shaped, preventing the insertion of a hose. However, you can drain the oil by accessing the fuel filter under the vehicle or by opening the drain plug located beneath the fuel tank. When refueling, stop once the pump automatically shuts off ("jumps the gun"). This is because fuel expands when hot and contracts when cold. Overfilling the tank during hot weather may cause gasoline to overflow, which could potentially lead to a fire if exposed to an open flame. Gasoline products can be categorized into three main types based on their usage: aviation gasoline, automotive gasoline, and solvent gasoline. The first two are primarily used as fuel for gasoline engines and are widely employed in cars, motorcycles, speedboats, helicopters, and agricultural/forestry aircraft. Solvent gasoline, on the other hand, is used in the production of synthetic rubber, paint, grease, fragrances, and other products.
