How to Engage the Reverse Gear?

You can lightly press the accelerator to reach the shifting RPM and then release the accelerator. For automatic transmission vehicles, the N (Neutral) gear is used for short-term parking. The vehicle must come to a complete stop before engaging the P (Park) gear.
When I first started learning to drive, I was also quite confused about how to shift into reverse. It's actually quite simple: For automatic transmission cars, first press the brake pedal to stop the car completely, then push the gear lever to the position marked R, and you'll hear a click when it's engaged. Manual transmission cars are different—you need to press the clutch pedal, hold down the button on the gear lever (if there is one), and pull it back to the reverse position. Remember to check the rearview mirror and surroundings—safety is the top priority. Beginners often make the mistake of not pressing the brake or clutch firmly enough, causing the car to roll forward and potentially hit something. Practice shifting a few times before driving to familiarize yourself with the car's gear layout, and a rearview camera can also be a big help. Once you get used to it, you'll find the operation quite natural. Don't worry, take it slow.
