How to Emergency Start a Ford Kuga with a Dead Battery?

To open the trunk of the car, you must first bring the vehicle to a complete stop; otherwise, the trunk cannot be opened normally. There is a row of buttons on the left side of the car's steering wheel, including the button to open the trunk. Press the trunk button to unlock the trunk.
When my Escape's battery died, I used a jump start as an emergency solution: find a friend with another car, take out the jumper cables, attach the red clamp to the positive terminal of my battery, and the other end to the positive terminal of his car's battery; then attach the black clamp to the negative terminal of his car's battery, and the other black clamp to a metal part of my car's frame. Start his car's engine and let it run for a few minutes to charge my battery; then I tried starting the Escape. This method is safe and effective, but be careful not to let the cables touch each other, as a short circuit could damage the electrical system. If it fails, I would check if the battery terminals are rusty or have poor contact. Afterward, I developed a habit of regularly using a multimeter to check the battery voltage—if it drops below 12 volts, I replace it in advance to avoid getting stranded on the road again. Additionally, I always keep a portable car jump starter in my car, similar to a power bank, ready for use anytime. Safety first—never operate in a damp environment!
