BYD S6 emergency start procedure: 1. Jump-starting the battery when the vehicle has no power: In case of sudden battery failure, contact a rescue vehicle to connect jumper cables for temporary charging to start the engine. To avoid being unable to charge when the battery is dead, it's advisable to keep a set of jumper cables in the car. 2. Opening the BYD S6 door when the smart key is dead: The remote key usually contains a hidden mechanical key. Most smart keys come with a mechanical key backup; if the smart key runs out of power, you can press the release button on the back to extract the mechanical key. 3. Powering the vehicle without starting the engine: The vehicle automatically cuts power within 10 minutes after turning off to prevent excessive battery drain making engine start difficult. Alternatively, press the start button without depressing the brake pedal to activate partial power supply. Pressing it twice will enable full power supply, initiating the vehicle's self-check procedure.
