Depress the brake pedal and start the engine; without releasing the brake pedal, shift into D gear; release the brake pedal and the vehicle will move forward. The parking procedure is: when turning off the engine, stop the car by pressing the foot brake; shift the gear from D to P; pull up the handbrake, release the foot brake, and turn back the key.
When I first started driving, I chose the Changan Oshan X5 automatic transmission, and it was really easy to get the hang of. After getting in the car, adjust the seat and rearview mirror positions first to ensure a clear view of the surroundings; press the brake pedal to start the engine, and you'll know it's ready when you hear the humming sound. The gear shift lever is located in the center console—push it to D (Drive) gear, release the electronic handbrake, and gently press the accelerator to start moving. In city driving, don’t be in a hurry; starting smoothly saves fuel and is safer. When reversing, shift to R (Reverse) gear and rely on the rearview camera—even beginners can park with ease. When parking, always press the brake to come to a complete stop first, shift to P (Park) gear, turn off the engine, and finally engage the handbrake. Developing this habit prevents the car from rolling. Drive slower on rainy days—even though automatic transmission is convenient, slippery roads require extra caution. Just remember to check the brake pads regularly.
