You must first get out of the car to observe the depth of the waterlogged road. If the water depth reaches about half of the tire height, it is best not to force your way through. When passing through deep water puddles, for manual transmission vehicles, try to use first gear and avoid accelerating or shifting to higher gears to rush through. Using a lower gear ensures the vehicle maintains sufficient traction. When an automatic transmission car passes through deep water puddles, do not use automatic mode; switch to manual mode beforehand. While crossing the water, try to avoid stopping, accelerating, or changing gears. If the water level is higher than the air intake, the engine may suck in water. If the engine stalls due to water intake, do not attempt to restart it.
