How to Drive an Automatic Transmission Car in Sanya?

Start with the N gear, turn on the power, press the brake, shift to N gear, ignite and start the engine, then shift from N to D gear to move forward. Accelerate gently and avoid pressing the accelerator pedal all the way down. Sudden acceleration will increase fuel consumption, generate high noise, cause excessive engine speed, and affect the lifespan of the transmission.
My first time renting an automatic transmission car for a self-drive trip in Sanya felt quite nerve-wracking but went smoothly. After getting in, I adjusted the seat and rearview mirrors, fastened the seatbelt, and started the engine while pressing the brake pedal. Shifting the gear from P to D, I slowly released the brake and the car started moving, then gently pressed the accelerator to speed up. With strong winds by the Sanya seaside, I reduced speed to below 40 km/h on sandy sections to prevent skidding. Due to the hot weather, I turned on the air conditioning in advance to cool down, remembering to let the engine warm up for a few minutes. At popular tourist spots like Dadonghai and Tianya Haijiao, I avoided peak hours and used a navigation app to find my way, shifting to P and engaging the handbrake when parking. The automatic transmission made driving much more worry-free. Following traffic lights and speed limits, cruising along the seaside was particularly delightful. For safety, I checked the tires and brakes when renting the car.
