How to Drain Water from JAC Junling Fuel-Water Separator?

Locate the fuel-water separator and place a container beneath its drain plug. Carefully loosen the drain plug counterclockwise and allow water to drain for approximately 10 seconds. After draining, unscrew the vent bolt at the top of the filter to release air. Quickly and carefully tighten the vent bolt clockwise, then refill with fuel. After starting the engine, check whether fuel leaks from the drain plug. Also verify if the fuel filter indicator light has turned off.
Having driven trucks for many years, I'm quite familiar with draining the water separator - it's as essential as detoxing your vehicle. Excessive water accumulation can mix with diesel and damage the engine, potentially causing hard starts or sluggish acceleration. On the JAC Junling truck, this component is usually located underneath the chassis and easy to spot; just crouch down to see a small canister or valve. Always ensure the vehicle is parked on level ground, turned off, and cooled down before draining to avoid burns or accidental starts. I typically use an old bottle to catch the water, slowly opening the bottom valve to drain. Once the water stops flowing, immediately tighten the valve and check both the oil level and for any contaminated water leaks. Don't forget to do this regularly - especially before long hauls to prevent roadside breakdowns. After each draining, take a short test drive to confirm everything's working properly. This simple maintenance saves both hassle and money. Make it a monthly habit, and your vehicle will last significantly longer.
