How to Drain the Windshield Washer Fluid in a Geely Car?

First, release the hood safety latch, reach under the slightly opened hood, and pull the safety catch upward to fully open the hood. Open the cap of the windshield washer fluid reservoir, insert a long tube into it, and push it as far inward as possible. From the other end of the tube, suck out the fluid from the reservoir. When the fluid level drops to about the same height as the headlights, you can remove the tube. In winter, it's important to check if the windshield washer fluid is frozen. If it is, you'll need to use the engine's heat to thaw the fluid before draining it.
Refilling the windshield washer fluid for Geely cars is actually quite simple. I often do this maintenance myself. Just pop the hood, and you'll see a small plastic reservoir on the left or right side with a windshield washer icon. The cap is usually blue or transparent. Gently unscrew the cap, then use a soft plastic tube to siphon out the old fluid. If you don't have a tube, carefully tilt the reservoir to pour out the liquid, but be cautious not to spill it onto the engine's electrical components to avoid short circuits. It's advisable to wear gloves during the process to protect your skin and choose a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling chemical fumes. After emptying, refill with new windshield washer fluid—choose an antifreeze type in winter (especially important to prevent freezing) or a standard type in other seasons. Don't forget to test the spray function after refilling to ensure everything works properly. Generally, replacing the fluid every quarter helps protect the reservoir and pump motor. The whole process takes about five to six minutes, and doing it yourself can save you some money.
