How to display the fuel consumption of Accord?

Cycle through the trip meter, average fuel consumption, etc., one by one to view the relevant fuel consumption information. The average fuel consumption on the dashboard is an overall average, which is also the instantaneous fuel consumption, and is greatly affected by road conditions and driving speed. After activating the steering wheel multiplexing, you can also switch using the left and right buttons. Use the up and down buttons on the right to switch to vehicle information, and then use the left and right buttons to switch.
Checking fuel consumption on our Accord is super easy. First, sit in the car, press the brake to start the engine, and a small screen will light up in the center of the instrument cluster. Use the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel, usually the up/down/left/right arrows or the one labeled 'info', and press them a few times to cycle through various information. When you switch to average fuel consumption or instant fuel consumption, the data will be displayed. If it's a newer model, it might also support the touchscreen infotainment system—just tap into the vehicle information menu and look for the fuel consumption section. I remember it's good to check fuel consumption before a long trip, as it reminds you to maintain fuel-efficient driving habits. Just be careful not to operate it while driving, as it can be too distracting. You can also reset the fuel consumption data in the settings to start tracking new trip data from scratch.
The fuel consumption display method of the Accord varies by year. For example, my 2018 model has a digital display on the instrument panel, and the fuel consumption data can be accessed via the steering wheel control buttons. Older models might use the trip button to toggle. The real-time fuel consumption fluctuates, while the average fuel consumption is more stable, making it suitable for long-distance reference. The operation is smooth, and once you get used to it, you can understand it at a glance. Just glance at it with your peripheral vision while driving, without diverting your attention from the road. Some higher-end models come with the HondaLink App, allowing you to check real-time fuel consumption on your phone, which is quite convenient. Remember, regular maintenance can optimize the accuracy of the display.
