How to Display Speed on the Dashboard?

Start the vehicle, and use the "up and down" directional buttons on the steering wheel to switch between options such as "average speed," etc., until you reach the interface shown in the image below. Click on CAR to enter the settings interface, then click on the combination instrument panel and check the digital speed display option to enable the digital speed function on the dashboard.
When I first got my new car, I also wondered about this. For most regular cars, the speed is directly displayed in the center or bottom-left corner of the dashboard right after starting the engine, without any special settings needed. It's common practice to find buttons near the steering wheel to switch functions. For example, in my older Ford model, I had to press the arrow button on the right side of the steering wheel to scroll through options and switch to the speed display. Some Toyota models require using the button on the end of the control lever to toggle dashboard modes. If the speed suddenly disappears, it might be due to accidentally pressing a button and switching to the fuel consumption or range interface. In such cases, try turning off the engine and restarting it. Remember to quickly glance at the dashboard without staring too long to avoid compromising driving safety. New drivers can use this habit to get familiar with their speed, making it both convenient and helpful in avoiding speeding.
I often help friends with car repairs, and issues with the speed display on the dashboard are actually quite common. After starting the vehicle, most dashboards automatically show the speed, but sometimes it gets obscured by other data. The quickest way to switch is by using the multifunction buttons on the left side of the steering wheel. Some domestic car models require pressing the INFO button on the steering wheel hub to cycle through options and find the speed display, while high-end vehicles even allow customization of the display style. During inspections, power connection issues might also cause the speed not to display, so it's worth checking the fuse. Developing a good habit: confirming basic data is normal within the first five minutes of driving can help avoid the awkward situation of realizing the speed isn't visible halfway through the trip.
