How to Disassemble the Rear Taillight of the New Sagitar?

Open the rear trunk and pry open the black cover plate. Once opened, you will see the fixing screws of the taillight. Use a socket tool to loosen all the screws, then remove the taillight. Before taking off the taillight, unplug the bulb connector to complete the disassembly. More details about the new Sagitar are as follows: 1. The new Sagitar will continue to use the existing three engine configurations: a 1.6L naturally aspirated engine, a 1.4TSI turbocharged engine, and a 1.8TSI turbocharged engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission. 2. The new model has a body length of 4644mm, which is 100mm longer than the previous generation Sagitar; a width of 1778mm, 18mm wider than the previous generation; a height of 1482mm, 21mm taller than the previous generation; and a wheelbase of 2651mm, 73mm longer than the previous generation.
From a repair experience perspective, removing the rear taillight of the new Sagitar isn't actually that complicated. After opening the trunk, first locate the black felt liner on the inner side of the light housing - just pull it aside by hand to reveal the mounting screws. Typically there are three Phillips-head screws; unscrew them counterclockwise with a screwdriver and set them aside. Don't yank the light assembly immediately after removing the screws. Gently pull the housing backward with both hands until you feel the slight click of the clips releasing. Key point: When disconnecting the wiring harness plug, always pinch the plastic tabs on both sides before pulling - forcing it may damage the pins. If the plug feels unusually tight, it might be stuck by a sealing gasket; just wiggle it slightly side to side. For DIY replacement, wearing cotton gloves is recommended to prevent fingerprints and grease from affecting light transmittance on the housing.
