How to Disable the Continuously Flashing Anti-Theft System Indicator Light?

The anti-theft light flashes at a frequency of once every 1 to 2 seconds, indicating that the engine anti-theft system is active. There is no need to disable it. If you wish to disable it, simply unplug the light's tail connector. First, disconnect the negative terminal of the car's battery for about 10 seconds. After the engine's protection data is cleared, reconnect the battery.
I encountered this issue when driving my older car, and the constant flashing indicator light was really annoying. It usually indicates a minor fault in the anti-theft system, possibly due to a dead battery in the remote key or the body sensor not detecting the signal properly. First, check if the light flashes naturally after locking the car—some vehicles do this when the anti-theft system is active, which isn’t a big deal. If not, immediately try using the spare key to lock and unlock the door a few times, or replace the button battery in the remote. Just buy a new battery and swap it out yourself. If that doesn’t work, the system might need a soft reset: pop the hood, disconnect the car battery for a few minutes, then reconnect it—but be careful to avoid electric shock. For regular maintenance, keep the key slot and antenna area clean to prevent dust interference. If the problem persists, don’t delay—take it to a repair shop for inspection, as it could compromise the anti-theft system, making your parked car an easy target for thieves.
