How to Disable the Anti-Theft System on an Older Peugeot 307?

Open the driver's side door and depress the brake pedal to prepare for engine startup. Press the one-touch start button. At this point, all dashboard lights should illuminate, indicating the engine has started. Press and hold the door lock button located on the driver's door for more than 10 seconds to complete the unlocking process.
Last time my old Peugeot 307 also had its anti-theft system locked, which was really frustrating. Trying to open it directly with the spare key usually works; if the remote fails, replace the battery first. If that still doesn't work, open the hood, disconnect the negative battery cable, wait for more than ten minutes, and then reconnect it—this method often successfully resets the system. I often remind myself to maintain the key and battery compartment to prevent corrosion from causing damage. Expanding on this, anti-theft designs are meant to prevent theft, but false triggers are not uncommon. Regularly cleaning the door lock sensors can avoid trouble. Using genuine accessories is better, extending the overall service life. Remember to operate safely when parked, and don’t rush to avoid damaging the wires.
