How to Determine Wiper Blade Size?

To determine the size of wiper blades, simply measure the length of the wiper blade rubber strip with a ruler. Wiper blades, technically known as windshield wipers, are blade structures installed in front of the windshield. They consist of components such as an electric motor, reducer, four-bar linkage, wiper arm spindle, and wiper blade assembly. Their primary function is to clear rain, snow, and dust from the windshield that obstructs visibility. Wiper blades are categorized into two types: conventional (frame-type) wiper blades and beam (flat) wiper blades. The difference between the two lies in their pressure distribution mechanism: conventional wiper blades use multiple pressure points along a frame to evenly distribute pressure across the blade, while beam wiper blades utilize a single, continuous steel band to uniformly distribute pressure along the entire blade, resulting in reduced water streaks and wiping marks.
