Determining the distance between the front of the car and an obstacle depends on different situations: 1. If the obstacle is a low wall or a parking space, when the lower edge of the rearview mirror aligns with the top of the low wall or the line in front of the parking space, the distance is just right; 2. If the obstacle is a pedestrian, when you see the pedestrian's heels, the distance between the car and the pedestrian is about 4 meters. When you see the pedestrian's knees, the distance is about 2.5 meters; 3. If the obstacle is another car, mainly observe the front car's bumper. When you see the lower edge of the front car's tires, the distance is about 4.6 meters. When the car's front hood just blocks the rear taillights of the front car (car front to car rear), the distance is about 50cm.
