How to Determine if the Engine is Properly Warmed Up?
1 Answers
When the tachometer and coolant temperature gauge reach the leftmost mark, it indicates that the engine has reached the optimal starting temperature. The tachometer reaching the normal value also signifies that the vehicle has been properly warmed up. Generally, the engine idles at around 800 RPM in summer, while in winter, it idles at approximately 1200 RPM. At this point, it depends on the local temperature. If the engine RPM drops to around 800, it means the vehicle is ready for normal driving. This refers to whether the engine's cooling system is functioning properly. The coolant temperature gauge consists of a pointer, scales, and the letters C and H.
