The clutch switch malfunction can cause abnormal vehicle operation. Here are the criteria for determining a faulty clutch switch: 1. Abnormal engine RPM: Severe wear and slippage occur first. When starting on an uphill slope, the engine RPM is high but lacks power. In gears 3, 4, and 5, there is a noticeable jerk when releasing the throttle, all of which indicate a faulty switch. 2. Severe shaking when releasing the clutch at startup: If only the clutch disc is replaced without changing the pressure plate, the new disc and old plate can easily wear out the clutch disc. 3. Obvious abnormalities: The pressure plate may have grooves worn by the old disc. Lack of lubrication can lead to damage and noise. A faulty release bearing makes the clutch pedal feel heavier. 4. Insufficient power: A faulty clutch switch mainly manifests as noticeably insufficient power during rapid acceleration, vehicle shaking at startup, difficulty in shifting gears, and increased fuel consumption.
