How to Determine if a BMW EGR Valve is Damaged?
1 Answers
Inability to control the exhaust gas recirculation volume, and excessive exhaust gas participating in recirculation will affect the mixture concentration, potentially causing difficulty in starting the car. When the EGR valve is damaged, it loses its oil-gas separation function, possibly sucking in oil while inhaling, leading to oil burning phenomenon. Insert the engine oil dipstick into the hole below the exhaust valve and pull it out to check if it is coated with engine oil.
