How to Defog While Driving in Winter?

You can defog your car in winter by following these methods: If the vehicle speed is not very fast, you can use air convection: Open a small gap in the car window to allow air convection between the inside and outside of the car. After a while, the fog on the inner glass will dissipate. Use a car-specific anti-fog spray: Before applying the anti-fog spray, first clean the inside of the front windshield, then spray an appropriate amount of the anti-fog spray. After the spray solidifies, wipe it clean with a clean towel. The anti-fog spray forms a water-repellent layer between water molecules and the inner surface of the glass, keeping the glass surface clean and preventing fogging. Use the air conditioning's cooling and dehumidifying function to reduce air humidity and remove fog: In summer, especially when multiple people enter the car without turning on the air conditioning in time, the high humidity of exhaled air can quickly cause the front windshield to fog up. At this point, you can turn on the air conditioning to blow cold air toward the front windshield. Using the air conditioning's dehumidifying function, the fog on the front windshield can be removed quickly.

I've got plenty of experience with winter window fogging—it's mainly caused by the temperature difference between inside and outside the car plus high humidity. My routine is to turn on the AC for dehumidification as soon as I start the car, then switch to warm air directed at the windshield. Don't forget to press the external circulation button so fresh air can replace the humid air inside faster. If you're in a hurry, just roll down the windows for about ten seconds to speed up air convection—it works instantly. Keeping a dry towel handy to wipe the inside of the glass also helps. Once during a stretch of rainy days, I applied a thin layer of soapy water to the inside of the glass, and it kept fog away for three days! Now I make it a habit to check the AC filter every month since too much dust can reduce defogging efficiency.

How Many Months Are New Car Tires Under Warranty?

Tires have a warranty period of 5 years or 60,000 to 80,000 kilometers, after which they must be replaced. Below are the functions of tires: 1. Operation: Tires transmit driving force, braking force, and steering force to enable vehicle operation. 2. Load-bearing: They support the vehicle's load. 3. Components: They reduce and absorb vibrations and impacts during driving, preventing severe vibrations from damaging vehicle components. Below are extended tips for tire maintenance: 1. Cleaning: Regularly remove stones stuck in tire treads. 2. Sun exposure: Minimize prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. 3. Inspection: Check tire pressure promptly. 4. Maintenance: Pay attention to suspension system upkeep. 5. Regular checks: Periodically inspect front wheel alignment. 6. Driving habits: Choose smooth road surfaces while driving, avoid objects that could puncture or scratch tires, and steer clear of chemical spills that may corrode tires.

Can I Exchange the Car for a New One if It Leaks Engine Oil?

Generally, the car will not be exchanged, but it will be repaired for free until the oil leakage is resolved. When a new car's transmission has an oil leakage issue, it is essential to apply for a transmission replacement or repair, as transmission oil leakage can lead to insufficient lubrication, accelerating friction between gears. Moreover, engine oil also serves to cool and remove impurities within the transmission. Prolonged lack of lubrication can render the transmission unusable. The following are the methods to address transmission oil leakage in a new car: 1. Claim for Compensation: If a new car's transmission leaks oil, refer to the relevant knowledge about the car's three guarantees. Exchanging the car is unlikely, but a claim for a brand-new transmission replacement might be supported. 2. Apply for Repair: When a new car's transmission has an oil leakage issue, it is crucial to apply for a transmission replacement or repair, as transmission oil leakage can result in insufficient lubrication, increasing friction between gears.

What Causes the Steering Wheel to Make a Clicking Sound When Shaken Left and Right?

The reasons for the clicking sound when shaking the steering wheel left and right are: 1. The plane bearing of the shock absorber lacks lubricating oil; 2. The balance bar rubber is loose or damaged; 3. The steering column dust cover lacks lubricating oil; 4. The airbag clock spring inside the steering wheel lacks lubricating oil or is damaged. The solutions for the clicking sound when shaking the steering wheel left and right are: 1. Apply butter to the plane bearing or replace it; 2. Add shims to the balance bar rubber; 3. Apply butter inside the dust cover; 4. Remove the airbag clock spring from the steering wheel, apply butter, or replace it. The steering wheel is a wheel-shaped device for controlling the direction of travel, and its function is to convert the force applied by the driver to the edge of the steering wheel into torque and transmit it to the steering shaft.

Why Do New Car Tires Turn Red?

There are many possible reasons for the reddening. It is recommended to have it checked at a 4S shop. Below is a detailed introduction to the functions of car tires: 1. Enabling driving and other operations: Tires are the medium for transmitting forces between the vehicle and the road surface. They transmit driving force, braking force, steering force, etc., thereby enabling the car's driving, braking, steering, and other operations. 2. Supporting vehicle load: The vehicle's load causes the tire to sink until the average pressure of the tire's contact area balances with the internal inflation pressure. 3. Reducing and absorbing vibrations and impacts during driving: This prevents early damage to car components caused by severe vibrations. At the same time, it adapts to the vehicle's high-speed driving state, reduces driving noise, and ensures driving safety, comfort, handling stability, and fuel economy.

How to Match a Tire Pressure Sensor?

The method to match a tire pressure sensor is as follows: 1. With the vehicle ignition on, turn the left steering column stalk to select and enter the tire pressure display section; 2. Press the SET or CRL button on the left stalk for 2 to 3 seconds until the vehicle computer prompts for tire pressure monitoring relearning, then select 'Yes'; 3. The horn will sound twice, indicating that the tire pressure monitoring relearning is in progress; 4. The left turn assist light and left mirror turn signal will stay on, indicating that the left front tire pressure is being relearned; 5. Increase or decrease the left front tire pressure for about 5 seconds to complete the relearning for the left front tire; 6. The horn will sound to indicate entry into the tire pressure learning mode; 7. The horn will sound twice, and the turn signals will stay on for about 3 seconds, indicating that the relearning for all four tire pressure monitors is complete, thus finishing the matching process.

What Do the Numbers on Car Glass Mean?

The numbers on car glass refer to the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), which consists of seventeen letters or numbers that can identify the car's manufacturer, engine, chassis number, and other performance data. Other locations of the VIN include: 1. The vehicle's model nameplate; 2. The left side of the dashboard; 3. Inside the engine compartment; 4. On the vehicle registration certificate. The meanings of the VIN are: 1. The first digit represents the country or region of production code; 2. The second digit represents the car manufacturer code; 3. The third digit represents the car type code; 4. Digits 4 to 8 represent vehicle characteristics; 5. The ninth digit is a check digit; 6. The tenth digit represents the model year; 7. The eleventh digit represents the assembly plant; 8. Digits 12 to 17 represent the serial number.
