How to Declare Customs for Personal Car Purchase from Abroad?
1 Answers
Individuals purchasing cars from abroad can declare customs through relevant agencies. There are identity regulations for importing personal vehicles in one's own name, so it is important to check the relevant regulations before purchasing. Additional information: Currently, only four types of individuals are allowed to import personal vehicles in their own name. These four types include: (1) Settled passengers (including Chinese non-resident passengers) who have obtained settlement certificates or approval documents issued by the competent government departments of the People's Republic of China. (2) Resident personnel among non-resident passengers, referring to: staff members of permanent institutions established within China and registered with customs by overseas enterprises, news agencies, economic and trade institutions, cultural groups, and other overseas legal persons approved by the competent government departments of the People's Republic of China, or personnel of foreign-invested enterprises registered with customs, or experts entering China for long-term work. (3) High-level overseas returnees and overseas scientific and technological experts working in China. (4) Former staff members of overseas embassies.
