Check if small iron wires were placed in the toolbox by children, whether there are foreign objects in the gaps of the center console, or if there are any surrounding debris. You can use silicone to fill the gaps between panels or check if the plastic ducts connected to the air vent adjustment mechanism have cracked due to temperature changes.
When there's an abnormal noise in the center console of my Honda Accord, I usually start with simple methods first, as it's often caused by loose plastic parts or friction. After parking, I carefully listen to locate the source of the sound and try pressing different areas of the dashboard to identify loose points. If it's due to gap friction, I insert soft cushioning tape to reduce the noise, which works effectively. During significant temperature changes, material expansion and contraction can worsen the noise, so I apply silicone lubricant lightly to address it. If the noise persists, I check if screws are tight and use a wrench to tighten them before testing again.
