How to Deal with Stains Left on the Roof After Using Foam Cleaner?

Ensure that the cleaning agent used on the car body is specifically designed for car washing. If no cleaning agent is available, you can also wash the car body with detergent diluted in water. Shake the cleaning agent well before use, then spray it vertically on the water stain areas of the vehicle. After spraying, let it sit for a while to allow the cleaning agent to fully penetrate the water stains. Use a clean cloth to wipe the water stain areas of the car body back and forth.
This is quite annoying, and I've encountered it too. If the foam cleaner isn't rinsed off properly or wiped incorrectly, it's easy to leave white marks. I've tried using a clean, damp towel to gently press on the marked area, letting the moisture slowly dissolve the residual foam, then switching to a dry towel to absorb the excess water. Repeating this a few times can significantly fade the marks. Remember not to scrub hard, or the ceiling's fabric will pill. Later, I also found that keeping the windows open for ventilation speeds up drying and prevents secondary marks. Next time when washing the car, it's best to test the cleaner in an inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't damage the material before using it on a larger scale. If you can't handle it yourself, it's better to go to a professional detailing shop early—they have specialized equipment and chemicals to deal with such issues.
