How to Deal with Scratches on a Car?

Wet the sandpaper and gently sand the dirt at the scratched area. Ensure thorough sanding to completely remove the dirt, as residual dirt can cause paint to peel off. After cleaning the dirt, apply the touch-up paint pen to a piece of paper to match the color with the car body. Use a cleaning cotton pad to wipe the area that needs touch-up painting. Unscrew the upper part of the touch-up paint pen cap and use the brush to apply the paint evenly. Apply thin layers, approximately 2-3 layers in total.
I found that if there are scratches on the car, especially those shallow ones that don't feel deep, they can be completely handled by yourself. Once, my car got scratched by a tree branch. I first cleaned the area around the scratch with water to ensure there was no dust. Then, I dried it with a dry cloth, applied some toothpaste or scratch repair paste bought from the supermarket onto a soft cloth, and gently rubbed along the direction of the scratch for a few minutes. After it dried, I applied a layer of car wax to protect the paint. After this process, the scratch basically disappeared, and the car looked as shiny as new, saving me the cost of going to a repair shop. However, be careful not to apply too much force to avoid scratching deeper parts. Remember to do this in a cool indoor area, as strong sunlight can cause the paint to discolor. Usually, park away from hard objects to prevent scratches, as prevention is key.
