Solutions for raindrops on rearview mirrors: 1. Activate the rearview mirror heating function. Many high-end vehicles now come equipped with electrically heated rearview mirrors. The heating wires embedded behind the mirror surface gradually raise the temperature to over 40°C, accelerating the evaporation of moisture on the mirror. This is particularly effective during light rain, as raindrops on the mirror are quickly dried. In heavier rain, while the effect may not be immediate, it still prevents excessive water accumulation on the mirror. 2. Install rain guards. Rain guards generally come in two types: those that adhere to the top of the rearview mirror and those that fit into the gap between the mirror and its frame. 3. Apply water repellent. Commercially available glass water repellents include both wipe-on and spray types. 4. Apply detergent. Coating the rearview mirror with a layer of detergent can help maintain clarity for 1-2 hours during heavy rain, though light rain may still cause droplets to adhere. Using soapy water, shampoo, dishwashing liquid, or car wax can extend the duration of clarity.
