How to Deal with Loose Sunshade Fabric on Car Sunroof?

Visit a car 4S shop to find professional maintenance personnel for repairs. If the sunshade is damaged and cannot be used anymore, you can purchase a new sunshade at the 4S shop for replacement. If the fabric is not damaged, buy a bottle of special automotive glue or adhesive products, apply the glue along the edge of the fabric, let it dry for 3-5 minutes, and then bond it. If the middle of the sunshade fabric collapses or falls off, you can choose to repair it with clips. Select clips of similar colors. The downside is that it may not look aesthetically pleasing, but it is a practical solution. If a large area falls off, remove the entire sunshade fabric, prepare a new piece of sunshade fabric, and use special ceiling glue for replacement.
Last time my sunroof shade fabric was also loose and sagging, which annoyed me for quite a while. Later, I found out that I didn’t need any professional tools at all—I fixed it myself. First, check if there’s any dirt or debris stuck in the sunroof tracks, and use a cloth to clean the dust from the tracks. Then, see if the edges of the fabric have come loose, gently pull them taut by hand, and use a screwdriver or a small tightening tool to secure any loose fastening points. If the fabric itself is damaged, apply strong glue to the joint area and let it dry to fix it. The key is to do this when the car is parked and turned off to ensure safety! Usually, I regularly clean the sunroof tracks with a vacuum to prevent dirt buildup and worsen the problem. Doing it yourself saves worry and money, and you learn a little skill—practice makes perfect after a few tries.
