Hill start assist malfunction handling method: First, check the fuse circuit, then inspect whether the ABS wire connector has power. If the fuse circuit is fine, then the ABS pump is likely faulty, and it is recommended to go to a 4S shop for repair or replacement. The hill start assist system relies on two sensors: one is the vehicle body longitudinal position balance sensor, and the other is the tire torque sensor, which mainly monitors the negative torque of the tires. To prevent difficulty in starting on a slope, the hill start assist control temporarily (for about 3 seconds) applies braking to all four wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling backward. When starting on a steep or slippery slope, if the driver switches from the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal, the vehicle may roll backward, making it difficult to start. Without hill start assist control, the driver must quickly and accurately switch from the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal. With hill start assist control, because it can prevent the vehicle from rolling backward, the driver can start the vehicle easily and operate the pedals calmly.
