How to connect the three wires of high and low beam lights?

High and low beam lights have 3 wires, which are a ground wire, a low beam control wire, and a high beam control wire. Connect the black wire to the frame. Connect the white wire to the low beam, the upper filament will light up. Connect the blue wire to the high beam, the lower filament will light up.
I usually enjoy modifying car lights by myself, and connecting three wires isn’t too complicated. You’ll need a multimeter to test the three wires: one is the common ground wire, usually black or brown, which connects to a metal part of the car body; one is the high beam wire, marked as white; and one is the low beam wire, marked as blue or yellow. Before starting, always disconnect the negative terminal of the car battery to prevent electric shock. Then, use the multimeter to test each wire: when you turn the light switch to high beam, the wire with power is the high beam wire, and the same goes for the low beam—the remaining one is the ground wire. When connecting, attach the high and low beam wires to their respective switch terminals, and secure the ground wire to a grounding point on the car body. After finishing, wrap the connections tightly with electrical tape and test if switching between high and low beams works smoothly. I once short-circuited because I didn’t wrap them properly and blew a fuse, but thankfully, it wasn’t a big issue. I recommend wearing gloves and keeping the work area clean. Finally, remember to check all light functions before wrapping up.
