How to connect the car ACC wire?

Locate the position of the car's interior fuse box. Use a test pen with one end grounded, ensuring it can connect to the negative terminal. Turn the key once and use the test pen to touch the fuses in the fuse box. If it lights up, turn the key back. If the test pen does not light up after turning the key back, it indicates that this is the ACC fuse.
I remember when helping a friend connect the ACC wire last time, I was extra careful to disconnect the negative battery terminal first to avoid short circuits and burning anything. You need to locate the ACC pin near the fuse box under the steering wheel and use a multimeter to test which pin only has power when the key is turned to the ACC position. Then strip the end of a new wire, connect it, and use a crimp connector to secure it tightly. The other end should be connected to the positive terminal of a device like a dash cam—never reverse the polarity. All wires should be neatly routed and secured to prevent sparks from friction while driving. After connecting, reinstall the battery and test the functionality. The whole process is simple, but patience is key, especially to avoid letting metal tools touch other wires and cause malfunctions. If you can’t figure it out, don’t force it—take it to a professional repair shop to check the wiring and fuses.
