Use a pry tool to remove the air conditioning panels on both sides, then unscrew the 4 screws on the head unit. Unplug all the connectors at the back of the head unit. Then unscrew the two screws located below the head unit.
Connecting your Porsche Panamera to CarPlay is actually quite straightforward. First, ensure your iPhone supports CarPlay and is running iOS 10 or later—ideally, update to the latest system version. Start the vehicle but don't engage the engine; for safety, park in a secure location before proceeding. Next, enable Siri in your iPhone's settings, as CarPlay requires Siri to function. Locate the USB port inside the car—Panamera models typically have a dedicated USB port on the center console—and connect your phone using an original Apple cable. The car's display will quickly prompt you; select the CarPlay option to confirm the connection. On your first attempt, you'll need to trust the device by agreeing to the prompt. If your Panamera is a newer model (e.g., post-2020) with wireless connectivity, the process is even easier: navigate to Settings > General > CarPlay on your phone, search for your car's name, and pair via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. If issues arise, try switching cables or restarting both your phone and the car's infotainment system. Safety note: Avoid driving while setting up to prevent distractions. This method ensures seamless access to navigation and music at the touch of a button.
